I started my career in the marketing industry by chance.

After completing an exchange program at a high school in the U.S., I returned to Bolivia to begin my bachelor’s studies, only to find that most of my classmates seemed confident about their paths in life. In contrast, I felt lost and unsure..

Thanks to the generosity of Orbis supporters, we’ve donated essential equipment to our partner National Institute of Ophthalmology (INO) in La Paz, Bolivia, to help hundreds of patients get better vision care each year. Project Coordinator in Bolivia, Jennifer Tapia Boada.

“Menstrual health is an important determinant for the realisation of all human rights of women and girls,” said Ms Michelle Bachelet, High Commissioner for Human Rights, during the opening statement of the panel discussion on menstrual hygiene management, human rights, and gender equality. Ms Bachelet sustained that in the last decade, States have adopted measures for addressing menstruation and improving access to menstrual products, however, while these achievements should be celebrated, there is still a long way to go to achieve further progress.
