โMenstrual health is an important determinant for the realisation of all human rights of women and girls,โ said Ms Michelle Bachelet, High Commissioner for Human Rights, during the opening statement of the panel discussion on menstrual hygiene management, human rights, and gender equality. Ms Bachelet sustained that in the last decade, States have adopted measures for addressing menstruation and improving access to menstrual products, however, while these achievements should be celebrated, there is still a long way to go to achieve further progress.
